Description: DFS 04 and Excellence LG DFS Installation and Service Training

A vetting form is necessary from your local distributor to attend the Excellence portion of the class**

Who should attend? Licensed air conditioning contractors with a desire to learn about inverter driven ductless split equipment. This course would also be useful to LG sales professionals and manufacturer’s reps who would like to increase their understanding or the application and installation of ductless mini –split equipment.

What you will learn: You will become familiar with all the basic installation guidelines for single and multi – split systems. Emphasis will be placed on the components that may be different from those found in unitary equipment and the proper logical approach to logical troubleshooting. .This will not teach the basics of refrigeration or electrical.

How you will learn: By means classroom lecture the student will be guided through a brief overview of the ductless product lineup. After that, the entire installation process will be discussed. This will be followed by a discussion covering the function and location of the basic internal components of the indoor and outdoor sections of a mini – split system. Time will be spent in the lab demonstrating troubleshooting techniques that will be helpful to technicians in the field.

What to bring to class: (optional) Laptop PC running Windows XP/NT/2000 or later, and a way to take notes

Prerequisites: 1) Basic technical knowledge of air conditioning theory. 2) Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Power Point and Word (optional) 3) Downloaded app for LGMV (free in google store); would be great if LGMV tool can also be acquired before class

LG MVS (Single Phase VRF)

Who should attend? Employees and sub-contractors of our Representative or Distributor partners who will be engaging in field installation and commissioning of LG Multi V S equipment.

What you will learn? The manufacturer’s guidelines for installing the piping and wiring systems connected to the indoor and outdoor LG Multi V S air conditioning equipment.

How you will learn? This class begins with a brief introduction to LG Electronics followed by lectures about product installation (Emphasis is placed on piping and control wiring.) Consideration and discussions covering pre-commissioning tasks that must be completed.
During lab activities students will be introduced to LGMV or LGMV Mobile (LG Monitoring View Software) which is the tool that must be used to evaluate equipment performance.
Prerequisites:
1) Advanced technical knowledge of commercial a/c, heat pump, and applied systems.
2) Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Power Point and Word.
3) Latest version of LATS must be installed on your PC – you can obtain LATS from your local Rep.
4) Latest version of LGMV software must be installed on your computer.
What to bring to class:
1) Laptop PC running Windows XP/NT/2000 or later, with a web browser of Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with a minimum
of Excel and Word installed. Power Point is also preferred. You will need two USB ports for LGMV use.
2) Purchase of LGMV software (to be obtained through your local LG Distribution Company)
Duration: 1 Day
When to arrive and depart: Start and end times are subject to change for each academy.
